Dear students,

We are already coming to the end of our first term of 2009 and our thanks to you all for your support and understanding during the weeks of cancellations and postponements due to the snowy weather in February.

Just before half-term we held our first Masterclass, which, despite the snow, was very well attended and much enjoyed by all there. Photos of the event will soon be on our website. As this Masterclass was so successful we will hold another one next term, details to be advised later.

We have been busy this half-term videoing bands for this year's Music for Youth National Festival so that we can submit recorded entries. The results are good and we look forward to hearing which bands are selected to play at the Festival.

Congratulations to one our bands, The System, who won the Towcester Battle of the Bands at The Vision Café last month, and to another, Intro Out, who were asked to play at The George in Daventry at their Sunday Sessions music night.

Preparations are well in hand for our Easter Concerts which are being held on Saturday 21st and 28th March at Nicholas Hawksmoor School, both starting at 6.00pm. Tickets are now on sale at Reception at Towcester Rockschool and are also available at our evening Rockschools. Ticket prices are £5 for adults, £3 for children and £13 for a Family Ticket.

All students who attend any of our Rockschools for individual tuition are most welcome to come to our concerts and if any would like to join one of our bands we have places available for all ages and abilities. Please contact David Taylor at davidtaylor@rockschools.co.uk for further information.

Finally, a date for your diaries, our end of year Summer Concert has been booked for Sunday 12th July at The Stables, Milton Keynes - more details next term.
