Dear students,

Welcome back for our final half-term of this Rockschools year. Schools start on Tuesday 2nd June at Brackley, Wednesday 3rd June at Towcester, Thursday 4th June at Middleton Cheney and Saturday 6th June at Towcester both for Rockschools and individual tuition. We have many events to prepare for in the next few weeks.

Rockschools has been asked to open Towcester's Midsummer Music event again this year, following last year's success, and will be playing at the Town Hall on Friday 26th June from 7.30pm to 10.30pm. Bands selected to play will be advised on Saturday 6th June and all Rockschools students, friends and families are welcome to come and support our bands. Tickets for the night will be available on the door and those with tickets for the Saturday events will be admitted free of charge.

We have entered several bands to take part in the National Rock and Pop Festival for Friday 10th July and hope to provide a coach to take Rockschools students for the day to take part in the various workshops and support our bands in the evening concert. More details will be available shortly.

Our end of year concert will be held at The Stables, Wavendon on Sunday 12th July and all bands will be taking part. Tickets will be on sale soon at Towcester Rockschool. Bands have also been entered for Milton Keynes' MusiK4U which is being held at the end of July, details can be found at www.mad-uk.org.

Tom Mitson will be with us in June and July to PAT test any equipment students bring to use at Rockschool which has yet been tested and does not have a passed sticker. A reminder too for all students with electric guitars, bass, keyboard or electric drums to bring their own extension lead, which is plugged into the extension lead with circuit breaker supplied by Rockschools, and Tom will PAT test these too.

So we look forward to seeing you all again on Saturday or during the week, ready for a busy end to our Rockschools year.
